The musical event celebrating Frank Sinatra in his hometown, Lercara Friddi

The My Way Festival is one of the most distinctive cultural events in the Palermo hinterland. It takes place in Lercara Friddi, a town in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, Sicily, and was created to celebrate the deep bond between the village and Frank Sinatra: the famous American singer's grandparents, shoemaker Francesco Sinatra and Rosa Saglimbeni, were originally from Lercara Friddi before emigrating to the United States in the early 20th century.
Every year, the festival offers a rich and varied program revolving around jazz, swing, and the repertoire made immortal by "The Voice." Concerts are primarily held in Piazza Abate Romano, the heart of the historic center, and over the years have brought prominent names from the national and international jazz scene to Lercara Friddi. Alongside the concerts, the festival features film screenings, photography exhibitions, workshops, and cultural meetings.
Lercara Friddi is the only European town to host a museum dedicated to Frank Sinatra, featuring photographs, documents, autographed records, and memorabilia that reconstruct the relationship between one of the 20th century's most famous voices and his Sicilian roots. During the festival, the streets of the center light up with spectacular themed illuminations, while Casa Sinatra and the town's exhibition spaces host installations and shows.
Beyond honoring Sinatra's memory, the My Way Festival promotes the traditions, flavors, and heritage of Lercara Friddi, from the ancient sulfur mines to the Colle Madore archaeological site. The artistic direction and organization are managed by the Life & Art Promotion Association, with the patronage of the Municipality of Lercara Friddi and the collaboration of local associations.
The event is traditionally held at the end of summer, between August and September. Admission to the concerts in the square is free, making the festival an event open to the entire community and visitors passing through the Sicilian hinterland.
At the moment, the dates for the 2026 edition of the My Way Festival have not yet been made official.
