The Buti stop of the widespread festival in the province of Pisa, held in Piazza Divisione Acqui
In the heart of the Tuscan summer, Buti becomes one of the stages for the Musicastrada Festival, the widespread, traveling festival that has been traversing the villages of the province of Pisa for over twenty years. Promoted by the Musicastrada Association, it is considered a unique boutique festival in Italy: music is not consumed in a large, anonymous space, but becomes a shared experience in extraordinary, limited-capacity venues, at sunset or under the night sky, in an intimate atmosphere where the barrier between performer and listener dissolves.
The Buti stop takes place in Piazza Divisione Acqui, in the center of Buti, a small town of Roman origin nestled on the eastern slopes of Monte Pisano, in the Province of Pisa. The village is famous for its extra virgin olive oil, the result of a unique microclimate caressed by sea breezes, and has a long tradition of musical hospitality: over the years, the square has hosted international artists for Musicastrada, from the Cuban Eliades Ochoa to the French group Violons Barbares.
For the 27th edition of the festival, scheduled from July 10 to August 2, 2026, Buti will host a double concert on Wednesday, July 16 at 10:00 PM, featuring a dialogue between two of the most interesting young singer-songwriters on the Italian scene: Gaia Banfi and Altea. Two worlds, two voices, and two different sensibilities alternating on the same stage, in a pairing designed by the organizers to offer the audience the intensity of two distinct artistic universes.
Musicastrada is not just about music and landscapes. The 2026 edition relaunches the "suspended ticket" project, created in collaboration with the Arnera Cooperative: those who wish can purchase an extra ticket for someone experiencing economic hardship, ensuring that culture remains increasingly accessible. The Buti stop also benefits from the collaboration of the Birrificio di Buti, highlighting the festival's connection with local artisanal excellence. The festival is supported, among others, by the Tuscany Region, the Ministry of Culture, the Fondazione Pisa, the Chamber of Commerce of Tuscany North-West, and CNA Pisa.
On Wednesday, July 16, 2026, Buti hosts one of the most anticipated stops of the 27th edition of the Musicastrada Festival, scheduled from July 10 to August 2 in various villages in the province of Pisa. In Piazza Divisione Acqui, from 10:00 PM, Gaia Banfi and Altea will perform, two of the most interesting singer-songwriters on the new Italian scene. The concert is part of the festival's "boutique" format, characterized by evocative locations, reduced capacity, and proximity between artists and the public, confirming the historic bond between Buti and Musicastrada.
The two artists will alternate on stage in a double set: two worlds, two voices, and two different sensibilities brought together in a single evening. The stop benefits from the collaboration of the Birrificio di Buti.

Concert on Wednesday, July 16, 2026, starting at 10:00 PM. Admission is 13 euros in advance and 16 euros at the door on the evening of the concert. Tickets are available online on the Dice platform. The "suspended ticket" project is active in collaboration with the Arnera Cooperative.
Capacity is limited: it is advisable to secure your ticket in advance. As this is an outdoor evening event in the hills, it is useful to bring something to protect yourself from the night chill.
