Musica in Borgo is the music festival that brings the historic center of Monteodorisio to life every summer—a small town in the province of Chieti, in the heart of the Vasto area of Abruzzo. Established in 2019, the event is entirely dedicated to discovering and promoting emerging musical talent: singer-songwriters, bands, DJs, producers, beatmakers, soundtrack composers, and hybrid projects find a stage here to perform for a live audience.

A village that embraces contemporary creativity

More than just a competition, Musica in Borgo acts as a cultural statement: it is the opening of the village of Monteodorisio, and indeed all of Abruzzo, to the creative ferment of the present day. For two days, the streets and squares of the historic center, dominated by the D'Avalos Castle, become a sprawling stage where music doesn't just fill the space but reinterprets and revitalizes it, offering visibility to new voices looking to be heard.

How to participate

Artists wishing to take the stage are selected through an open call: simply send an original track to the festival's dedicated email address. The selection process is designed to welcome diverse genres and formats, from singer-songwriter tracks to electronic music, and from solo projects to full bands.
