About Music Nature Relations

Music Nature Relations is the summer music festival of the Monte Baldo Local Nature Park, uniting the five municipalities of Ala, Avio, Brentonico, Mori, and Nago-Torbole in a series of open-air concerts in enchanting locations. Mountain huts, alpine churches, mountain lodges, historic theaters, and squares overlooking Lake Garda become natural stages where music engages with the landscape. In Nago-Torbole, events take place in Piazza Lietzmann, on the shores of the Upper Lake Garda, during evenings that blend live music with the beauty of the lake.

A festival between music and landscape on Monte Baldo

Music Nature Relations is the summer concert series promoted by the Monte Baldo Local Nature Park, which brings together the five municipalities of the district — Ala, Avio, Brentonico, Mori, and Nago-Torbole — in a single program spread across the Vallagarina valley and the Upper Lake Garda area. The project was born from the idea of bringing live music to the most evocative places in the Park: mountain huts, alpine churches, mountain lodges, forests, historic theaters, and squares by the lake become natural stages where listening and landscape merge. The organization is managed by the Superflùo association, under the artistic direction of Giovanni Costantini.

Events in Nago-Torbole

In the municipality of Nago-Torbole, in the province of Trento, the festival chooses the scenery of Lake Garda. The concerts are held in Piazza Lietzmann, in the heart of Torbole, overlooking the waters of the Upper Lake Garda. Here, music meets the lakeside landscape during summer evenings that range from tango to singer-songwriter piano performances, offering the public an experience that combines listening, nature, and community in one of the most famous villages on the Trentino side of the lake.

Music in dialogue with nature

The festival's programming ranges from classical music to jazz, from European folk to tango, and from popular sounds to singer-songwriter music, featuring chamber ensembles, choirs, quartets, and bands. A special role is entrusted to the Palestra d'Orchestra, an orchestral workshop that brings together teachers and young musicians, traditionally closing the festival with final concerts in the theaters of Brentonico and Ala. The common thread remains the relationship between sound, nature, and community: hence the very title of the event, which intertwines music, the environment, and human relationships.

A community and territory project

Music Nature Relations is more than just a concert season: it is a cultural project that enhances the Monte Baldo Local Nature Park and its municipalities, promoting slow, environmentally conscious tourism. The events, often free or low-cost, are also designed for families and involve residents, local associations, and visitors. For paid events and guided walks, booking is recommended, with discounts for under-25s, residents of the Park's municipalities, and members of partner associations, and free admission for children up to 12 years old.

Nago-Torbole and the Upper Lake Garda

Overlooking the northern tip of Lake Garda, Nago-Torbole is one of the most beloved destinations in the Upper Lake Garda area, famous for its wind, water sports, and its views between the lake and the mountains. Hosting part of the festival here means combining the charm of the lakeside landscape with the natural beauty of Monte Baldo, offering visitors an opportunity to discover an authentic corner of the Trentino-Alto Adige region.
