About Mundus in Scandiano

The Mundus Festival brings three summer evenings dedicated to world music to Scandiano, in the heart of the province of Reggio Emilia. In Piazza Fiume, great international names and voices alternate: from the pop storytelling of Gino Castaldo and Ema Stokholma to the power of Japanese drums by Munedaiko, up to the timeless soul of Sarah Jane Morris. One of the longest-running summer reviews in Emilia-Romagna, curated by ATER Fondazione.

The festival of borderless music in Scandiano

Mundus Festival is one of the longest-running and most beloved summer music events in Emilia-Romagna. Promoted and curated by ATER Fondazione, in 2026 it reaches its 31st edition and presents a sonic journey through jazz, world music, soul, R&B, and contemporary fusions. The overall program includes twelve concerts with about sixty Italian and international artists, spread across Reggio Emilia and the municipalities of its province.

Among the featured locations is Scandiano, a lively center in the Reggio Emilia province at the foot of the Apennines, where concerts are held outdoors in Piazza Fiume, in the heart of the town. The Scandiano evenings represent some of the most anticipated events of the entire review, including the festival's grand finale.
