Three days of basketball, music, and urban culture at the Foro Boario in Borgo San Lorenzo
Mugello Crossover is an event that brings an original formula blending sports and street art to Borgo San Lorenzo, the main town of the Mugello area in the province of Florence. Born as an outdoor basketball tournament, the event has grown with each edition to become a vibrant urban culture festival, attracting teams, fans, and curious visitors from across the Florentine province and beyond.
After its first editions at the Ponterosso Festival Area, Mugello Crossover has found its home at the Foro Boario Festival Area, a public space in Borgo San Lorenzo recently renovated and returned to the city as a hub for social life and gathering. The basketball court becomes the beating heart of the event, around which music, visuals, and live performances come to life.
The soul of the event is the basketball tournament, which unfolds over the days with matches and open challenges. But Mugello Crossover is much more than a sports competition: it is a meeting space where basketball engages with the languages of street culture.
Designed especially for young audiences and those immersed in street culture, Mugello Crossover has become a highly anticipated date on the summer calendar of Borgo San Lorenzo. The combination of sport, music, and art makes it a collective celebration where the competitive dimension intertwines with the creative one in one of the greenest and most authentic territories of Tuscany.
From June 19th to 21st, 2026, the Foro Boario Festival Area in Borgo San Lorenzo hosts a new edition of Mugello Crossover, with basketball, rap, art, and music as the main elements. The basketball court returns to the center stage, surrounded by the languages, sounds, and images of urban culture, for a weekend that combines competition and creativity.
Throughout the event, the Food & Drinks area managed by Passaguai is active.
