High-altitude concerts and vibrations between music and nature in the Brenta Dolomites
The Mountain Beat Festival is the major summer event that brings Pinzolo and the Val Rendena to life in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige. Established in 2023, the event brings live music to an altitude of over 2,000 meters on the stunning Doss del Sabion, a panoramic balcony overlooking the Brenta Dolomites, just a few kilometers from Madonna di Campiglio. The subtitle chosen by the organizers, «High and Low Frequency Vibrations», perfectly captures the spirit of the event: moments of high energy alternate with slow, introspective experiences in touch with nature.
The beating heart of the festival is the series of concerts at Doss del Sabion, where Italian and international artists perform with the Dolomite peaks as a natural backdrop. Over the years, the stage has hosted big names in music, from Italian singer-songwriters to international stars. The main concerts are accessible exclusively via the Pinzolo-Prà Rodont and Prà Rodont-Doss del Sabion ski lifts to preserve the mountain environment: access by car is prohibited by ordinance.
In addition to the concerts, the Mountain Beat Festival offers a rich calendar of activities throughout the week: guided nature walks, dinners in mountain huts, cooking shows, beekeeping experiences, visits to the valley's industrial heritage, and moments dedicated to families. The village in town, in Pinzolo, hosts daily band performances, DJ sets, and live broadcasts from Radio Deejay, a long-standing partner of the event.
The opening and closing concerts have received the Eco-Evento Trentino recognition, a testament to the focus on environmental sustainability that characterizes the entire event. The festival is also committed to accessibility: the main concerts are made accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals thanks to Woojer Vests, which transform sound into vibrations, and sign language interpretation.
The Mountain Beat Festival is organized by the Azienda per il Turismo Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo, Val Rendena, in collaboration with the Municipality of Pinzolo, the Municipality of Giustino, the Pro Loco of Pinzolo, and Funivie Pinzolo. The artistic direction of the major concerts is entrusted to Barley Arts, with the participation of Radio Deejay.
The fourth edition of the Mountain Beat Festival was held in Pinzolo from June 20 to 28, 2026. Opening the festival on Saturday, June 20, at 1:00 PM on the natural stage of Doss del Sabion was the American artist Ben Harper, who chose Pinzolo to inaugurate his Italian summer tour. Closing the festival on Sunday, June 28, also at Doss del Sabion, was Elisa with Dardust.
The two major concerts were interspersed on Thursday, June 25, by a candlelight concert with Labirinti Armonici, hosted at the Antica Vetreria in Carisolo. Throughout the week in Pinzolo, daily band performances, DJ sets, and live broadcasts from Radio Deejay took place, alongside walks, gourmet experiences, and family activities.
The opening and closing concerts received the Eco-Evento Trentino recognition and were made accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals thanks to Woojer Vests and sign language interpretation.
Pinzolo is located in Val Rendena, in western Trentino. By car: from the A22 Brenner motorway, take the Trento Nord exit, then follow the SS45bis and SS239 towards Val Rendena. The concerts at Doss del Sabion can only be reached via the Pinzolo-Prà Rodont cable car and the Prà Rodont-Doss del Sabion chairlift (car access is prohibited).
Tickets for the major high-altitude concerts can be purchased on Ticketone. Many village activities and some performances in town are free.
