Eighty years of wine in Pramaggiore

Pramaggiore, in the province of Venice, is the capital of the Lison-Pramaggiore appellation and one of the most important wine centres in Eastern Veneto. Here, since the post-war period, the National Wine Exhibition has been held, one of the longest-standing and most authoritative events on the Italian scene, reaching its 80th edition in 2026.

A competition of national importance

The Exhibition hosts the National Competition for DOCG, DOC, and IGT Wines, authorised by ministerial decree, which evaluates labels from various Italian wine-growing areas. Prestigious awards are up for grabs: the Golden Lion for the best wine in the competition, the City of Pramaggiore Prize, the National Golden Oscar, the National Golden Bacchus, and gold medals by region. A true report card of Italian wine quality.

The most solemn moment is the awards ceremony, which takes place in the prestigious setting of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice.
