About Sagra di Sant'Antonio

In June, the main town of San Michele al Tagliamento, in eastern Veneto, celebrates Saint Anthony of Padua with the traditional festival in the park of Via Comugne. Over two weekends, the food stall offers pasta with ragù, deer gnocchi, fried fish, sausage, and chicken, accompanied by concerts and live music every evening and a Vespa gathering. The religious part — mass, procession, and blessing of the bread — is complemented by the popular festival, organised by the Pro Loco (local tourism board) together with the parish of San Michele Arcangelo.

The Sagra di Sant'Antonio

The Sagra di Sant'Antonio takes place in June in the main town of San Michele al Tagliamento (Metropolitan City of Venice), at the park in Via Comugne. It is the festival in honour of Saint Anthony of Padua, organised jointly by the Pro Loco and the parish of San Michele Arcangelo.

The Food Stall

The heart of the festival is the food stall, open on the evenings of the celebrations with traditional specialities: pasta with ragù, deer gnocchi, fried fish, sausage, and chicken. Every evening the festival is enlivened by concerts and live music, with a particular focus on dancing and entertainment for all ages. Among the events, there is also the Vespa gathering.

Faith and Tradition

The convivial dimension is complemented by the religious one: the programme includes the Mass and procession of the Sacred Heart and the celebration of Saint Anthony with mass and blessing of the bread, according to the devotion to Saint Anthony deeply felt in Veneto. The festival is one of the most popular summer events in the municipality, which also includes the famous seaside resort of Bibione.
