The Millepertiche Festival

The Sagra della Madonna delle Bonifiche is the parish festival of the hamlet of Millepertiche, in Musile di Piave, in the province of Venice. It is held every year in June and is dedicated to Santa Maria delle Bonifiche (Saint Mary of the Land Reclamation), a title that recalls the history of these lands in eastern Veneto, conquered for agriculture thanks to the major land reclamation works along the course of the Piave river.

A Community Celebration

For a few days, the hamlet comes together around the sagra (festival): a food stand with typical cuisine, musical evenings, and moments of conviviality transform Millepertiche into a meeting point for residents and neighbouring towns. It is the classic Venetian village festival, where religious tradition and social life intertwine.

Part of the MusilEstate Program

Organised by the parish with the work of volunteers, the festival is part of the summer program MusilEstate promoted by the Municipality of Musile di Piave. Although it is a small-scale event, it preserves the authentic spirit of the festivals of eastern Veneto, characterised by outdoor dining, dancing evenings, and a strong sense of hamlet identity.
