About Morenica_NET

Morenica_NET is a live performance season that has been bringing the Teatro Bertagnolio in Chiaverano, located in the Morainic Amphitheatre of Ivrea (Turin), to life from October to May. For over twenty years, this multidisciplinary programme has featured theatre, dance, music, and contemporary circus, placing the community at its heart. The 25/26 season, titled "To the Community," features fourteen main performances alongside numerous side events for students, young people, and families, showcasing both Italian companies and local projects.

Morenica_NET: live performance in the heart of the Serra

In Chiaverano, a small town at the foot of the Serra Morenica in the province of Turin, the Teatro Bertagnolio serves as the annual headquarters for Morenica_NET, one of the most established live performance seasons in the Canavese area. Launched in 2003 and now in its twenty-second year, the festival is curated by the Tecnologia Filosofica and Andromeda companies, under the artistic direction of Francesca Brizzolara and Renato Cravero, and extends beyond Chiaverano to include various venues in Ivrea.

A multidisciplinary programme

Morenica_NET is more than just a theatre season: the programme weaves together theatre, dance, live music, and contemporary circus, alternating between national names and local productions. Each year, the season chooses a central theme: the 25/26 edition is titled "To the Community" and revolves around the values of community, participation, and a critical look at the present day.

  • Evening and afternoon performances at the Teatro Bertagnolio in Chiaverano
  • Events held throughout Ivrea (Movicentro ZAC!, Auditorium Gramsci, Teatro Giacosa)
  • Side events for schools, young people, and families
  • Selected performances with free admission

A networking project

The name itself, Morenica_NET, reflects the project's vocation: to create a network between associations, artists, and the public of the Morainic Amphitheatre of Ivrea. Over the years, the festival has collaborated with the Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo and received support from institutions like the Fondazione CRT, building a theatrical community that spans the province of Turin and the entire Piedmont region.

Why it's worth visiting

For those visiting the Canavese and the Serra Morenica, Morenica_NET is an opportunity to discover high-quality live performances in an intimate and welcoming setting, far from the mainstream circuits but with a thoughtful, contemporary programme. It is a local theatre that has been engaging with the most current artistic research for over two decades.

Morenica_NET — edition 2026

The 2026 segment of the 25/26 Morenica_NET season, titled "To the Community," continues at the Teatro Bertagnolio in Chiaverano and various venues in Ivrea from January to May. Six main events featuring theatre, dance, music, and contemporary circus, with national companies and local productions, complete a programme dedicated to the value of community.

Following the autumn launch, the 25/26 Morenica_NET season enters its peak in the first months of 2026 at the Teatro Bertagnolio in Chiaverano, with a programme spanning theatre, dance, music, and contemporary circus under the title "To the Community".
