Ponderano's summer cultural season featuring music, theatre, and dance
When the warm season arrives, Ponderano โ a small town of just over 3,700 inhabitants in the province of Biella, Piedmont โ transforms into an open-air stage. The Ponderano Summer Festival is the event series that accompanies the hottest months of the year with a long sequence of evenings dedicated to music, theatre, and dance, designed to foster social connection through art and performance.
The strength of this festival lies in its variety: it ranges from tribute band concerts to DJ sets, from collective dance evenings to brass band music, as well as theatre and dance shows. Over the years, the line-up has hosted tributes to the greatest names in Italian and international music, revival nights, and family-friendly musical moments, always with a special focus on quality. All events are free, confirming the popular and inclusive nature of the festival.
The heart of the festival is the outdoor area in front of the Ponderano schools, a space capable of welcoming the public for summer evenings; in case of bad weather, events are moved to the Polivalente facility on Via Mazzini. Some events also animate Piazza Alpini d'Italia and other areas of the town. Noteworthy is the food area, which allows visitors to dine and enjoy local dishes before the shows begin, turning every evening into a convivial occasion.
The Ponderano Summer Festival is promoted by the Municipality of Ponderano in collaboration with local cultural associations, in particular the Fabrika cultural association, which handles the artistic direction and entertainment. The administration entrusts the organization to specialized entities and local associations active in the cultural sector, with the aim of highlighting the town's local energy.
In a territory like the Biella area, rich in traditions and community life, the Ponderano Summer Festival represents one of the most anticipated events: a simple and authentic way to experience summer evenings, with good music, great food, and the desire to be together. An event that perfectly captures the spirit of the Piedmontese countryside, where culture is, above all, an encounter.
The 2026 Ponderano Summer Festival has been officially confirmed: the municipal administration of Ponderano has approved the guidelines to organize the summer cultural season, with a series of initiatives dedicated to music, dance, and theatre.
The events will be held mainly outdoors, in the space in front of the town's schools, while in case of bad weather, they will be moved to the Polivalente facility on Via Mazzini. The identified timeframe covers the months of July, August, and September 2026.
For the creation of the programme, the Municipality will work with specialized companies and the collaboration of local cultural associations. The detailed programme, with dates and names of the shows, will be published on the official channels of the festival in the weeks preceding the event.
