About Morborock
The Free Rock of Valtellina
The Morborock Free Rock Festival is one of the most beloved music events in Morbegno (Province of Sondrio) and the entire Valtellina region. Founded in 2011, it's a completely free festival held at the Colonia Fluviale, on the banks of the Adda river, offering three days of concerts, talks, and activities each year in a festive and participatory atmosphere.
A Stage for Big Names and New Talents
Morborock's strength lies in its lineup, which blends international artists, historic Italian rock and punk bands, and emerging young talents. Over the years, artists like Modena City Ramblers, Punkreas, The Last Internationale, The Picturebooks, and many others have graced the stage, striking a balance between major headliners and the underground scene that has won over a loyal audience.
Much More Than Just a Concert
The festival is not just about music: it offers workshops, outdoor games, and a large Kids' Area, alongside typical Valtellina cuisine, local artisan products, and Morborock beer. Everything is made possible by hundreds of volunteers – the "Morborocker" – who make the festival an authentic community project. With free admission and thousands of spectators at each edition, Morborock has become a symbol of the cultural vitality of Morbegno and the Bassa Valtellina.
Morborock — edition 2026
The 2026 edition, the fifteenth, takes place from May 29 to 31 at the Colonia Fluviale in Morbegno and celebrates the festival's 15th anniversary with a richer lineup than usual. Free admission, Valtellina cuisine, Morborock beer, and a large Kids' Area with workshops and outdoor games on May 30 and 31 from 4:00 PM.
