About Monteverde Street Food

Monteverde TTS Street Food is a traveling gastronomic event that transforms Largo Alessandrina Ravizza, in the heart of Rome's Monteverde district, into a massive open-air kitchen twice a year, in spring and autumn. Over twenty street chefs serve regional Italian specialties and international dishes from food trucks, accompanied by vibrant lighting and music. Admission is free, and the event is held under the patronage of Rome's Municipio XII.

Street food arrives in Monteverde

The Monteverde TTS Street Food is one of the most anticipated stops on the gastronomic tour by TTS Food, a format created by Mela Eventi that brings the best street food to Italy's squares. In Rome, the event has made its home in Largo Alessandrina Ravizza, located within the Parco di Villa Baldini, a green space behind the Gianicolo hill in the popular and leafy Monteverde district, in the capital's Municipio XII.

Surrounded by greenery and featuring a central fountain, the area is transformed for a few days into the neighborhood's largest open-air restaurant, where visitors can enjoy freshly prepared dishes made with quality ingredients. The formula, which repeats twice a year—once in spring and once for the classic autumn festival—has become a landmark for local residents and food lovers from all over Rome.

Over twenty street chefs

At the heart of the event are the Street Chefs: over twenty cooks who, from their food trucks, Ape Cars, and cooking stations, offer a journey through regional Italian flavors and international cuisines. Italian specialties include Sicilian arancini and cannoli, Apulian bombette and focaccia, Abruzzese arrosticini, fried pizza, and other traditional classics. There is also no shortage of international offerings, including Mexican, Venezuelan, Greek, Indian, Spanish, and Argentine cuisine, as well as American barbecue.

  • Italian specialties: arancini, cannoli, bombette, arrosticini, fried pizza, focaccia
  • International cuisine: Mexican, Greek, Indian, Spanish, Argentine, American BBQ
  • Desserts: tiramisu, crêpes, and cannoli
  • Options for everyone: vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available at selected stands

More than just food

The culinary experience is paired with a well-stocked bar, featuring unfiltered draft beer from Landshuter Brauhaus and signature cocktails prepared by the Drink Lab bartenders. Carefully curated scenery, light shows, music, and large areas with tables and seating complete the experience, designed for families, groups of friends, and curious foodies of all ages. The event also prioritizes sustainability, with water served in recyclable Tetra Pak cartons.

A neighborhood event

Held under the patronage of Municipio XII of Rome, the Monteverde TTS Street Food has become a signature event for the district, enlivening one of the city's most beautiful and historic corners and attracting visitors from neighboring areas. Free admission and a festive atmosphere make this Roman stop one of the most successful in the entire TTS Food tour in Lazio.
