A long summer night of crafts, flavors, and shooting stars in the Madonie mountains
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Montemaggiore Belsito White Night is one of the most anticipated summer events in this village of the Metropolitan City of Palermo, located in the heart of the Madonie region in Sicily. For one night, the historic center stays awake almost until dawn: the streets and especially Piazza Roma fill with people, lights, music, and aromas, in a festive and carefree atmosphere that brings together residents and visitors from neighboring towns.
The core of the event is the promotion of local excellence. Numerous craft stalls, often run by young local businesses, line the square alongside stands offering gastronomic specialties and typical Sicilian delicacies. There is no shortage of street performer acts, which animate the corners of the village and accompany visitors' evening strolls through a mix of creativity, flavors, and tradition.
The soundtrack of the evening is provided by live music and DJ sets, keeping the crowd dancing until late at night. The atmosphere is that of a classic summer White Night: families, groups of friends, and curious visitors moving freely between stalls, tastings, and concerts in one big open-air community celebration.
What makes this event special is its connection to the Perseids (San Lorenzo's shooting stars): held around August 10th, the White Night becomes the perfect opportunity to look up at the sky and wait for the meteor shower. Between music and toasts, the evening combines popular festivities with the magic of one of the most evocative nights of the summer.
The event is promoted under the patronage of the Municipality of Montemaggiore Belsito, through the Department of Productive Activities, with the aim of supporting local commerce and craftsmanship while offering a moment of free gathering and entertainment for the entire Madonie community.
The program and official date for the 2026 edition of the Montemaggiore Belsito White Night have not yet been released.
