A free, family-friendly event in the heart of the famous Tuscan spa town, organized by the Associazione Culturale Pinocchio 3000 in partnership with the local Municipality and the Misericordia.

A market that turns into a party

The event takes place on the stretch between Via Leonardo Da Vinci and Via Marche, in the heart of Tuscany's most famous spa town, in the province of Pistoia. Promoted by the Associazione Culturale Pinocchio 3000 in collaboration with the Municipality of Montecatini Terme and the local Misericordia, the event kicks off the season of Sunday markets that enliven this street throughout the year.

The Stalls

From 9:00 AM, the street fills with stalls dedicated to handicrafts, antiques, collectibles, and vintage items. It is the perfect opportunity for a stroll among curious objects, period pieces, handmade creations, and small treasures to discover, all in a relaxed, typically Tuscan atmosphere.

The Carnival Celebration

The main event starts at 2:30 PM in the square in front of the Corpus Domini church, where the Misericordia of Montecatini Terme hosts a grand carnival party filled with joy, confetti, games, and entertainment. Numerous attractions are planned for children:

  • Face painting stations
  • Balloon sculptures by costumed entertainers
  • Pony rides and first-time riding experiences with the La Pieve equestrian center

From 3:00 PM, along the entire length of Via Marruota, the Misericordia of Malmantile street band accompanies visitors and masked revelers with music, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere.

Montecatini Terme and its traditions

Known worldwide for its Art Nouveau thermal baths and Belle Époque charm, Montecatini Terme also offers moments of simple and authentic popular celebration. The Carnival Market is a convivial way to experience the city beyond the spa circuit, rediscovering the streets of the center alongside residents and visitors. Admission is free for adults and children, making this day a perfect occasion for families and curious visitors alike.
