Monferrato On Stage kicks off in Lauriano

On May 23, 2026, the traveling festival Monferrato On Stage, now in its eleventh year, chooses Lauriano as its inaugural stop: it is the first time ever that this small municipality in the Metropolitan City of Turin, overlooking the Monferrato hills, hosts the event. The evening takes place in Piazza Risorgimento, which has just been returned to the community after a major redevelopment project; the event also marks its official inauguration, forging a strong bond between culture, identity, and the rebirth of public spaces.

Founded in 2016 by the Fondazione MOS ETS, the festival brings entertainment, music, and wine culture to the villages of the provinces of Turin, Asti, and Alessandria every year. The 2026 program features fifteen events, spread from spring until the end of August: a virtuous example of territorial promotion that makes the Monferrato region the true star of the scene.

The "Storie di Rock'n'Roll" show

The heart of the Lauriano evening is "Storie di Rock'n'Roll", a journey through stories, performances, and secrets of great Italian artists. Three seasoned musicians take the stage: Giuseppe Scarpato, Ivano Zanotti, and Mario Guarini, who have accompanied names such as Edoardo Bennato, Ligabue, Claudio Baglioni, and Loredana Bertè throughout their careers. Through anecdotes and live tracks, the show reveals the soul and behind-the-scenes of some of the most beloved chapters in Italian music.

Art, photography, wine, and flavors

Accompanying the music is a space dedicated to art and photography: projections by abstract painter Pablo T and the interactive traveling photo exhibition "Pictures of You — On the Road", by Henry Ruggeri, featuring shots dedicated to international rock icons. From 8:00 PM, the food & beverage area is open, featuring dishes from the Pro Loco of Lauriano, Monferrato wines offered in collaboration with the Consorzio Barbera d'Asti e Vini del Monferrato, and a cocktail bar curated with Distilleria Bosso.

A free event in the heart of Piedmont

Admission to the show is free, true to the festival's philosophy: bringing the public closer to culture and local excellence without barriers. The Lauriano stop is organized by the Fondazione MOS ETS together with the Municipality of Lauriano and the Pro Loco, with the support of the Piedmont Region and the Langhe Monferrato Roero Tourism Board.
