Two nights of dance music, cocktails, and street food in the heart of the Crete Senesi
The Mojito Festival (also known as Mojito Fest) is one of the most anticipated summer events in the Crete Senesi. It takes place in San Giovanni d'Asso, an ancient village that has been part of the municipality of Montalcino, in the province of Siena, Tuscany, since 2017. For two nights, the town center transforms into a massive open-air party, featuring music, dancing, cocktails, and culinary specialties that attract visitors from across the region.
Reaching its thirteenth edition in 2026, the Mojito Festival was born from an initiative by the local village council and the Pro Loco of San Giovanni d'Asso. Over the years, it has established itself as one of the most popular summer festivals in the Montalcino area, successfully uniting different generations through a proven format: free admission, major guests from the Italian dance and radio scene, 90s and 2000s revival sounds, and an atmosphere of authentic village conviviality.
The program has always focused on well-known names from the dance music world and national radio networks, accompanied by local Tuscan DJs. Evenings kick off with opening DJ sets to warm up the square, continuing late into the night with musical shows, club hits, and the greatest tracks that defined the history of Italian dance music.
Set amidst the unique landscapes of the Crete Senesi, just a few kilometers from Montalcino and the Val d'Orcia, the Mojito Festival is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a night of celebration in one of Tuscany's most evocative villages. The event is sponsored by the Municipality of Montalcino and supported by local sponsors, confirming its deep bond with the community and the territory.
The 2026 edition, the thirteenth, brought two nights of great celebration to San Giovanni d'Asso with artists from the national dance and radio scene.
Both evenings, with free admission, offered street food, pici pasta, grilled meats, craft beer, mojitos, and cocktails starting from 7:30 PM. The event was supported by the Municipality of Montalcino.
