Singer-songwriter music and solidarity in the heart of the Langhe, supporting the fight against blood cancers
“Mistral for AIL” is an evening of singer-songwriter music and charity held in Santo Stefano Belbo, in the heart of the Langhe in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont. The star of the show is the Mistral band, a musical group with a long history of performances on Piedmontese stages and across Italy, which has chosen to put its music at the service of an important cause: the fight against blood cancers. All proceeds from the donations collected during the evening are donated to AIL Cuneo, the Cuneo branch of the Italian Association against Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma, named after Paolo Rubino.
The group offers a repertoire of singer-songwriter songs that focuses on lyrics and storytelling, alternating between tracks that have become classics and more recent compositions. The band consists of Bruno Penna on vocals and guitar, Gianni Signetti on guitars, Stefano Cornaglia on piano, Max Molino on bass, and Mauro Valfrè on drums, joined by the voice of radio host Fabio Gallina. The performances are accompanied and presented with readings, in a deep and recognized bond with the culture of their native Langa.
The concert takes place in the parish hall of Santo Stefano Belbo, starting at 9:00 PM. Admission is free, and during the evening, it is possible to leave a donation for AIL Cuneo: the funds raised support scientific research and assistance services for patients with blood cancers and their families. The initiative, born from an invitation by the parish led by Father Mauro Molinaris, is supported by local entities such as Banca d'Alba, Distilleria Beccaris, and Bruno Drago serramenti.
“Mistral for AIL” is much more than just a concert: it is a moment where the community gathers to share music, emotions, and generosity. Set in the birthplace of Cesare Pavese, the evening combines the evocative power of singer-songwriter music with the warmth of Langhe hospitality, in a territory famous for its Moscato wine and its UNESCO-listed vineyard landscapes. An opportunity to spend a quality evening while turning listening into a concrete gesture of solidarity.
The Santo Stefano Belbo event is part of the “Mistral for AIL 2026” tour, which continues the journey started with the first series of concerts held between 2025 and early 2026 in various municipalities of the Langhe, Roero, and the Cuneo area. A musical and charitable project that, evening after evening, collects precious funds and spreads a message of closeness to those facing illness throughout the towns of Piedmont.
