MILLWOOD Mountain Beatz: electronic music hits the mountains

In the heart of the Ahrntal valley, MILLWOOD Mountain Beatz has become one of the most anticipated summer events for electronic music lovers in South Tyrol. The festival takes place in Selva dei Molini/Mühlwald, a small municipality in the province of Bolzano nestled at over 1,200 meters above sea level, where the open-air stage stands against the spectacular backdrop of the mountains. It is here, in the Sportzone along the Hauptstraße, that DJs and bands transform a village evening into a true nocturnal party.

A format blending DJ sets and live bands

The MILLWOOD formula is designed to keep you dancing until late at night: the program centers on DJ sets playing electronic music—techno, house, and EDM—alternated with performances by live bands, offering a mix of genres ranging from electronic to rock. Completing the experience is a professional light show and special effects (CO2 and pyrotechnics) that accompany the highlights of the evening.

Behind the festival is Krumas Events, a South Tyrolean organization led by Kevin and Dominik, specializing in live music events in South Tyrol/Südtirol. Their attention to staging, sound, and lighting is one of the hallmarks of MILLWOOD, which attracts a young crowd from across the Ahrntal valley and neighboring municipalities every year.

Free camping and shuttle service

One of the event's key strengths is its focus on hospitality: the festival provides a free camping area for those who want to experience the mountains up close. A party shuttle is also available, connecting the event site with Brunico, Valdaora, and Cadipietra, ensuring everyone can reach the festival safely. For those arriving by public transport, the reference stop is Mühlwald Sportzone, served by lines 450 and 451 from Brunico.
