Messina Vinyl Fest

A festival dedicated to vinyl culture

The Messina Vinyl Fest is an annual gathering that brings together vinyl and analog music lovers on the northern coast of Messina. The setting is the Sunset in Mortelle, a seaside district of the Municipality of Messina overlooking the Strait: beach, sea, and sunset provide the backdrop for a day entirely built around the charm of vinyl. Organized by the Vinyl Fest Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Messina, the event has become one of the highlights marking the start of the city's summer in Sicily.

The record market and exhibitors

The heart of the event is the vinyl record market, featuring exhibitors and collectors arriving from all over Italy: rare records, reissues, used and new items sit alongside spaces dedicated to vintage, creative crafts, and graphic arts. It is the perfect opportunity to hunt for hidden gems, chat with sellers, and immerse yourself in the culture of musical collecting.

Music, exhibitions, and workshops

The absolute stars are the strictly vinyl DJ sets, which accompany the entire day with selections ranging from electronic to reggae, dub, and international influences. The program is enriched by exhibitions dedicated to the relationship between music and imagery, as well as a series of workshops open to adults and children: photography, engraving and printing, creative crafting, and activities designed for the little ones.

Solidarity, family, and the sea

Messina Vinyl Fest is also a community event: every edition hosts social and charity initiatives linked to the circular economy, animal welfare, the environment, and inclusion. There is also a food & beverage area, a baby area, a beach volleyball court, and plenty of space on the beach, making the day suitable for everyone, from families to groups of friends.

Where and when

The event takes place in Mortelle, on the northern seafront of Messina, in Sicily, during a single day that symbolically opens the summer season. Admission is free, with an optional donation starting from a few euros to support the organizing association and the charitable causes involved.
