The self-managed festival of Medicina

The Medicina Live Festival is one of the longest-running and most beloved music events in the area: born from the energy of the Circolo ARCI Gentlemen Loser, in 2026 it reached its 22nd edition, confirming itself as a reference point for live music enthusiasts in the Municipality of Medicina, in the province of Bologna. It takes place every year at the beginning of summer at the Parco delle Mondine, a green lung on the outskirts of the historic center of Medicina, in Emilia-Romagna.

A popular and free festival

The spirit of the festival is that of a renewed village festival: three completely free evenings open to everyone, built from the ground up thanks to the work of the club's volunteers and the collaboration of the Collettivo Medicinese. The concerts, hosted on the park's stage, start late every evening and span the most diverse genres: from punk to ska, from rap to reggae, to independent rock.

Not just music

Around the stage, the park transforms into a small village: over twenty stalls of local crafts, clothing, vinyl records, and accessories, along with numerous activities designed for all ages. These range from board games to Dungeons & Dragons matches, from comic and writing workshops to tarot readings, including exhibitions of illustrated poetry and a space dedicated to children, Arci Kids.

Gastronomy and conviviality

The convivial heart of the event is the food stall, with filled piadine, fried foods, fried tortellini, and specialties of the Romagna tradition, accompanied by craft beers on tap and a cocktail bar. An opportunity to enjoy Parco delle Mondine until late at night, in a familiar and festive atmosphere that makes Medicina Live Festival one of the symbolic events of the Medicina summer.
