The ManaRace, Fontevivo's race
The ManaRace – FontevivoRun is the running event of the Municipality of Fontevivo, a small town in the Bassa Parmense region of the Province of Parma, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna. Organized by Atletica Manara, a sports club active in the Parma area, the race is now a regular fixture on the regional running calendar, with assembly and start in Piazza della Repubblica, in front of the town hall.
A 10-kilometer road race
The heart of the day is a 10 km road race, FIDAL-sanctioned and offered in both competitive and non-competitive versions. The course winds along the flat roads that cross the Po Valley countryside around Fontevivo: a fast route with no elevation changes, particularly appreciated by athletes seeking a good time and the chance to improve their personal best.
Alongside the competitive race, the event offers a recreational walk open to everyone, designed for those who want to enjoy the day without a stopwatch, in company, and at a relaxed pace, taking in the village and the surrounding agricultural landscape.
The Marco Franzosi Memorial
The ManaRace is dedicated to the memory of Marco Franzosi and for several editions it has borne the name of Trofeo or Memorial Marco Franzosi: an emotional connection that gives the race a meaning that goes beyond the pure sporting result and roots it in the local community.
Sport and community in a Bassa village
More than just a race, the ManaRace is a village festival built around running. The start from the center of Fontevivo, the roads closed to traffic, the volunteers of Atletica Manara along the route, and the finish in the main square create the typical atmosphere of running events in Emilia, where competition coexists with conviviality. Fontevivo, also known for its Cistercian abbey, offers participants and their companions the chance to discover an authentic corner of the Bassa Parmense.

ManaRace — edition 2026
The ManaRace – FontevivoRun 2026 was held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, in Fontevivo (PR), organized by Atletica Manara. The main event was the usual 10 km road race, FIDAL-sanctioned and open to both competitive athletes and walkers in the non-competitive version.
The flat course crossing the Bassa Parmense countryside proved to be fast and suitable for personal bests, despite a day with variable weather. The event brought together runners from all over the province of Parma and the Emilia-Romagna region, with rankings and results published at the end of the race on sector running circuits.

How to get there
Fontevivo is located in the Bassa Parmense, a few kilometers from Parma. By car, it is accessible from the Via Emilia (SS9) and the A1 motorway (Parma or Fidenza exit). The nearest train station is Parma, well-connected on the Milan–Bologna line.
Assembly and start
Assembly and start in Piazza della Repubblica, in the center of Fontevivo. The competitive race and the non-competitive walk start together in the morning.
