Magna Pòr is the food and wine walk that animates Roteglia, a hilly hamlet in the municipality of Castellarano, in the Reggiano Apennines, in the province of Reggio Emilia (Emilia-Romagna). The name, in local dialect, is an invitation to set off and eat well along the way: and this is exactly what this food and wine walk offers, a walking route that combines taste, landscape, and conviviality.
How it works
The route winds for about 10 kilometers through the streets, lanes, and paths that cross Roteglia and its hills, divided into nine gastronomic stops. At each stop, participants find a typical dish to savor, accompanied by Lambrusco and local zero-kilometer products. It is not a race but a slow-paced walk to be enjoyed in good company: each group is guided by a special leader who accompanies the walkers along the itinerary.
Music, landscape, and community
What makes Magna Pòr different from a simple walk is the atmosphere: at each stop there is live music and entertainment, to discover Roteglia from a new perspective. Departures are staggered every half hour, so as to distribute the groups along the route and enjoy the Apennine panoramas without crowds. It is an event born from the ground up, created by the people of Roteglia for Roteglia: businesses, volunteers, and local realities united to bring a day of celebration to life.

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, Roteglia, a hamlet of Castellarano (RE), hosts the new edition of Magna Pòr, the food and wine walk through the hills of the Reggiano Apennines. The event starts at the sports facilities on Via Dorale, from where the approximately 10-kilometer circular route begins.
The confirmed format includes nine gastronomic stops along the streets and paths of the hamlet, featuring typical local dishes, plenty of Lambrusco, and zero-kilometer products. Live music and entertainment accompany the walkers at each stop, divided into groups led by a guide.

- Until approx. 7:00 PM — Conclusion of the food and wine walk through the hills of Roteglia.
