During the Advent season, the village of Magliano de' Marsi, nestled in the mountain hinterland of the province of L'Aquila in Abruzzo, celebrates the holidays with its Christmas Markets. For two days, Piazza San Luigi Orione turns into a true Christmas village, brought to life by lights, artisan stalls, decorations, music, and activities for all ages. The event is organized by the Pro Loco of Magliano de' Marsi with the patronage of the Municipality, actively involving local associations.

Over the years, the Christmas Markets have become a well-established landmark for the residents of Magliano de' Marsi and the surrounding towns of the Marsica region. The organizers' stated goal is to promote the area, its traditions, and local commerce, offering families a festive occasion to gather in the town center.

Along the square, artisan stalls offer gift ideas, decorations, and local products, while there is no shortage of culinary highlights prepared by volunteers: from the polenta offered by the Pro Loco to the mulled wine prepared by the GEV, and the pasta and chickpeas cooked by the Alpini. Creative workshops and a visit to Santa's Village are dedicated to the little ones, culminating in the highly anticipated arrival of Santa Claus.
