The Madonnina di Fatima Festival is one of the most deeply rooted religious celebrations in Floridia, a town in the province of Syracuse, Sicily. The event is promoted by the San Francesco parish and every year involves the entire district, which gathers around the figure of Our Lady of Fatima, one of the most widespread Marian devotions in the Catholic world following the 1917 Portuguese apparitions.

The 2025 edition postponed
In July 2025, the festivities experienced an unusual turn of events: due to a fire that broke out at a local industrial plant, which made the air unbreathable in some areas, the Municipality and the organizers decided as a precautionary measure to postpone some of the scheduled celebrations to protect public health.

The Madonnina di Fatima Festival is also included in the calendar of summer events in Floridia. The exact dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced; however, it is confirmed to take place in July, in keeping with tradition.
