The summer music and theatre festival in the green area of Capannori
Every year, between June and July, the Municipality of Capannori — the heart of the Lucca Plain, in the province of Lucca, Tuscany — becomes the stage for "...Ma la notte sì!", a summer festival that combines music, theatre, comedy, and fun. The performances are held in the green area behind the Town Hall, in Piazza Aldo Moro, which for the occasion transforms into an open-air arena capable of welcoming the public under the stars.
The festival is organized by LEG - Live Emotion Group with the patronage of the Municipality of Capannori and the support of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca. Its strength lies in its variety: alongside major ticketed concerts, which bring top-tier Italian artists to the city, the program offers numerous free-entry evenings dedicated to live music, theatre, improvisation, and entertainment for families and children.
"...Ma la notte sì!" is also a showcase for young local talent: the festival hosts evenings designed to give space to emerging artists from the Lucca Plain, with concerts, tribute bands, and original music performances. It is no coincidence that in recent years, some major performers have chosen Capannori to kick off their summer tours, a sign of the event's growing reputation.
Thanks to this formula, the festival manages to engage a very wide audience and makes a municipality in the province of Lucca a protagonist throughout the summer, confirming itself as one of the most anticipated events of the Tuscan cultural summer.
The festival opens on June 12 with the Lupo Festival, a free evening dedicated to the original music of emerging artists, and continues until July 4, alternating major concerts, theatre, comedy, and family events. Among the most anticipated guests, some have chosen Capannori to inaugurate their summer tour dates. The events are held in the green area behind the Town Hall, in the province of Lucca.
Concerts by big names are ticketed, with tickets available on Ticketone, while many evenings remain free of charge.
The performances take place in the green area behind the Capannori Town Hall, in Piazza Aldo Moro 1 (ZIP 55012), in the province of Lucca.
By car: Capannori is easily accessible from the A11 Firenze-Mare motorway (Capannori exit). By train: the Capannori station is located on the Lucca-Florence line, a short distance from the centre.
Ticketed events require admission, available on Ticketone and at Coop sales points. Many evenings are, however, free to enter. Info and accessibility for people with disabilities at www.legsrl.net.
