Nine Monday nights of live music in the neighborhoods of Bolzano
LuneLive — BZ City of Music is the new summer music festival in the capital of South Tyrol, scheduled from July 6 to August 31, 2026. For nine consecutive Mondays, live music moves out of the theaters and into the squares, parks, and public spaces of Bolzano, creating a sonic itinerary that spans the city from the historic center to the outskirts. Each evening runs from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM and is free to attend.
The festival stems from the recognition Bolzano received in 2023, when the city joined the UNESCO Creative Cities of Music network. LuneLive is part of the official calendar for this designation and represents its most popular and widespread aspect: not a single large concert in one location, but nine traveling events designed to enliven the summer for residents and tourists alike, bringing music to every corner of the municipality. The event is promoted by the Bolzano Tourist Board in collaboration with the Municipality, the Autonomous Region of Trentino-South Tyrol, and WaltherPark.
Each Monday features a different genre and location, offering a musical journey that ranges from jazz, blues, swing, and funk to folk and world rhythms:
Before each concert, from 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM, there is a wellness session in collaboration with Virgin Active, introducing the evening with a few minutes of outdoor movement. The traveling format ensures that every neighborhood, from the center to the Semirurali area, becomes the beating heart of the city's cultural life, highlighting green spaces and squares that rarely host such events.
With LuneLive, Bolzano confirms its musical vocation and chooses to make culture accessible to everyone: no tickets, no barriers, just quality live music in the open air on summer evenings. It is an ideal opportunity to discover the many faces of the South Tyrolean capital, whether you are a local or a visitor.
The inaugural edition of LuneLive offers nine free traveling events in the neighborhoods of Bolzano. It kicks off on July 6 with BandaStorta and the "Music On The Road" project from WaltherPark to the Central Market, continuing every Monday: Mad Guitar Trio at Parco Petrarca (July 13), Crowsroads with Roland Egger at Piazzetta Marcella Casagrande (July 20), Samantha Giordano and Michele Bonivento at Piazza San Vigilio (July 27), Revensch at Piazza Matteotti (August 3), Sissamba at Piazza Mazzini (August 10), Carlo Poddighe at Piazza Firmian (August 17), Whiskey & Ginger Trio at Parco Mignone (August 24), and the grand finale with Ina Pross Rock'n'Roll 4et at Parco delle Semirurali (August 31). Each evening is preceded, from 8:00 PM, by a wellness session with Virgin Active.
From July 6 to August 31, 2026, every Monday from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Each evening takes place in a different square or park in Bolzano (from the historic center to the suburban neighborhoods).
All concerts are free and open to the public, no reservation required.
Bolzano is accessible by train (Bolzano station on the Brenner line) and by car via the A22 Brenner motorway, taking the Bolzano South or Bolzano North exits. Individual concert locations are easily reachable on foot or via the SASA urban public transport network.
