Five days of sports, music, and festivities at the Frignano Market Area
Every July, the Ludi Furiniani transforms Frignano, a small town in the province of Caserta nestled in the Agro Aversano, into one of the beating hearts of the Campanian summer. Launched in 2023 by a group of local young volunteers, it has quickly become a landmark event in just a few editions, attracting families, young people, and enthusiasts from neighboring towns alike.
The festival takes place at the Frignano Market Area and features a proven formula that blends sports competition, entertainment, and conviviality. The program comes alive every evening until late, offering the atmosphere of a true village fair.
The 2026 edition was held from July 8th to 12th. The opening night on Wednesday the 8th kicked off the tournaments and culminated with a live performance by Neves17, a young voice from the Neapolitan scene. The following days alternated community activities—from local parish summer camps to "Sunset Pilates"—with entertainment, such as the Royal Dance Academy performance. After the finals and awards ceremony on Saturday, the festival concluded on Sunday, July 12th, with a concert by the neomelodic singer Jhosef.
What makes the Ludi Furiniani special is its grassroots origin: a group of young people from Frignano, led by president Carmine Lanza, who develop an increasingly rich program every year. The stated goal is to create an opportunity for connection and sharing for the entire community, while enhancing the sense of belonging to the town and the Agro Aversano region.
Located in the province of Caserta, in Campania, Frignano is part of the Agro Aversano district, a land of farming traditions and strong local identity. Today, the Ludi Furiniani represents one of the most cherished summer events in the area, capable of uniting the spirit of sports with the desire for togetherness typical of Southern Italian popular festivals.
From July 8 to 12, 2026, the Frignano Market Area hosted the fourth edition of Ludi Furiniani, five days of sports, music, and entertainment. The opening night on Wednesday, July 8, kicked off the beach volleyball, foosball, table tennis, and EA Sports FC/FIFA tournaments, concluding with a 9:30 PM live show by Neves17.
The following days featured moments designed for the community—summer camps from the Santa Maria dell'Arco and Santi Nazario e Celso parishes, and the "Sunset Pilates" session—as well as performances like the Royal Dance Academy show on Friday the 10th. After the finals and awards ceremony on Saturday the 11th, the festival concluded on Sunday, July 12, with a concert by the neomelodic singer Jhosef.
The Ludi Furiniani are held at the Frignano Market Area (CE), in Campania. Frignano is easily accessible by car from the Agro Aversano exits; the nearest train station is Aversa, served by the Naples–Aversa line.
Admission to the event is free. Participation in the sports tournaments requires a modest entry fee (from 5 euros per team for foosball, table tennis, and EA Sports FC, with a higher fee for beach volleyball), with registration to be completed with the organizers in the days leading up to the event.
The evenings are the highlight: it is advisable to arrive in time for the concerts and DJ sets. A food court and children's area are available, making it ideal for a family evening.
