The food and wine village showcasing Sicilian excellence in Capo d'Orlando
Promoted by the Municipality of Capo d'Orlando with the support of the Regional Department of Productive Activities as part of the "Sicilia che Piace" program, Little Sicily – The Best of Sicily is one of the most anticipated food and wine events on the Tyrrhenian coast of Messina. For an entire weekend, the heart of the town dresses up for the occasion and becomes a large gourmet village dedicated to celebrating the island's finest products.
The heart of the event is represented by the charming wooden chalets set up in Piazza Matteotti and along the first part of the Via Crispi pedestrian zone. Here, numerous gastronomic companies from every corner of Sicily offer tastings and specialties to enjoy while strolling. Among the most popular offerings:
Beyond the culinary aspect, Little Sicily focuses heavily on entertainment. Every evening, the square comes alive with live concerts and shows that attract families, residents, and tourists alike, in a festive atmosphere that blends food, music, and popular tradition. The event is designed to be enjoyed on foot, with stands open from late afternoon until night and stages entertaining the public until late.
Overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and dominated by the picturesque promontory with its sanctuary, Capo d'Orlando is one of the most vibrant towns in the province of Messina, in Sicily. Its location, nestled between the coastal beaches and the forests of the Nebrodi Park, makes it an ideal setting for an event that celebrates the encounter between the bounty of the sea and the inland traditions. Little Sicily thus contributes to the tourism promotion of the municipality and the entire Nebrodi area.
The 12th edition of Little Sicily enlivened the center of Capo d'Orlando from June 5 to 7, 2026, confirming the event as one of the premier food and wine appointments on the Tyrrhenian coast of Messina. In Piazza Matteotti and along Via Crispi, the wooden chalets hosted producers and gastronomic companies from all over Sicily, featuring Nebrodi black pork porchetta, Messina-style involtini, fried pizza, panelle, smash burgers, waffles, and craft beers.
Every evening, with stands open from 6:00 PM, the square offered live music: Friday, June 5, the concert by La Soluzione; Saturday, June 6, the Kalura; and Sunday, June 7, the Skaricamu Band. The event, organized by the Municipality of Capo d'Orlando with the support of the Regional Department of Productive Activities as part of "Sicilia che Piace", confirmed its free formula dedicated to cuisine, folklore, and tradition.
