The boutique festival of electronic music, nature, and spirituality in the mountains of Garfagnana
Limbo Festival is one of the most original events in the Italian electronic summer. It is held at the Tenuta Il Ciocco, in the municipality of Barga (province of Lucca), a vast 600-hectare estate overlooking the mountains of Garfagnana, in Tuscany. Here, far from the noise of the big cities, the festival offers a different way to experience music: not just a succession of sets on a dance floor, but a journey that unites sound, landscape, and inner exploration.
Limbo's program is explicitly multidisciplinary. Alongside concerts and DJ sets, the schedule includes areas dedicated to mindfulness with guided practices, sunset rituals, and shared listening sessions, as well as talks on creativity, contemporary society, and wellness. The festival presents itself as a transformative experience, where the musical dimension merges with the spiritual and a deep respect for the natural environment that hosts it.
The artistic direction is led by Luca Bacchetti, a long-time DJ and producer who builds a lineup each year capable of alternating big international names with emerging artists. Limbo has carved out a precise identity in the boutique festival landscape, attracting an attentive and curious audience that seeks musical quality and context over simple entertainment.
The setting is not a secondary detail. Barga is one of Italy's most beautiful villages, overlooking the Serchio Valley and dominated by the Apuan Alps and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Garfagnana is a land of forests, chestnut groves, and strong gastronomic traditions, which the festival enhances through food and wine offerings linked to local products. Participating in Limbo also means discovering an authentic and less-trodden corner of Tuscany, far from the most crowded tourist routes.
Among the activities that have made the festival recognizable are nature walks, wellness experiences, and meeting moments that accompany the audience from morning until night. Limbo Festival is designed for those who want to disconnect from daily life and immerse themselves, for a few days, in an environment where music, nature, and community coexist in balance.
The 2026 edition of Limbo Festival confirms the immersive formula that has made the event famous: three days of music, ritual, and culture at the Tenuta Il Ciocco in Barga, with a program that alternates live acts, DJ sets, hybrid sets, and multidisciplinary performances. The artistic direction is entrusted to Luca Bacchetti, who has curated a lineup featuring over forty artists.
Alongside the concerts, the festival offers an area dedicated to mindfulness with guided practices, talks on creativity and wellness, gastronomic experiences linked to the territory, and nature activities such as the famous Alpaca Walk, walks in the company of alpacas.
