Pedigree cats from across Italy and Europe at the Palazzetto Falcone
The Leinì International Cat Show is the event that every feline enthusiast in the lower Canavese area of Piedmont has been waiting for. For an entire weekend, the Giovanni Falcone Sports Hall on Via Volpiano 46 transforms into a grand showcase for pedigree cats, with specimens arriving from across Italy and various European countries.
The event is organized by FIAF (Italian Federation of Feline Associations) under the aegis of the WCF (World Cat Federation) and with the patronage of the Municipality of Leinì. While it is one of many feline exhibitions in the FIAF-WCF circuit, it represents a special event for the Canavese territory, capable of attracting a large audience of curious visitors, families, and breeders.
The beauty of this exhibition is the variety of breeds you can admire up close. Recent editions have featured British Shorthairs, Maine Coons, Norwegian Forest Cats, Siberians, Sphynx, Ragdolls, and Selkirk Rex, alongside rarer breeds like the Kurilian Bobtail, native to the Kuril Islands in Russia and recognizable by its distinctive, fluffy, pom-pom-like tail. Each cat is evaluated by a panel of international judges based on their specific breed standards.
The exhibition is not just about competition: it is, above all, an opportunity to get closer to the feline world, meet breeders, discover the characteristics of different breeds, and spend a day with the family. Previous editions have also featured themed drawings created by local schoolchildren, confirming the event's bond with the community of Leinì and the Turin Canavese area.
With an affordable entry fee and hours designed for a full day out, the Leinì International Cat Show is an appointment suitable for both expert enthusiasts and those who simply want to spend a few hours in the company of wonderful cats. An unmissable experience for the whole family, just a few kilometers from Turin.
The 2026 edition of the Leinì International Cat Show confirmed the success of the event, attracting a large audience of enthusiasts to the Palazzetto Falcone. Organized by the FIAF under the aegis of the World Cat Federation, it showcased numerous breeds, from the most well-known—such as British, Maine Coon, Norwegian Forest Cats, Siberians, Sphynx, Ragdolls, and Selkirk Rex—to the most unique. Among the side activities, the exhibition of themed drawings created by local schoolchildren stood out.
