The Lavender Festival transforms Piazza dei Santi Filippo e Giacomo into a small open-air museum of ancient crafts, where the highlight is the live distillation of the essence in an antique still, according to the techniques of the past.
Market, crafts and local flavors
Around the distillation, a craft and food market develops, featuring local products and traditional items. Lavender, with its intense fragrance, is the common thread of a day that is both a historical re-enactment and a village festival, capable of telling the story of the rural culture of the western Ligurian hinterland.

A village perched along the Roia valley, a few kilometers from the French border and the Ventimiglia–Cuneo railway line, Airole preserves the identity of a rural and secluded Liguria. How to get there
By train: Ventimiglia–Cuneo line, Airole stop. By car: from the A10 motorway, exit at Ventimiglia, then take SP64 along the Val Roia.
