Lavarone Colors – Color Run

The Lavarone Colors – Color Run is the most playful event of the summer at Parco Palù in Lavarone, on the Alpe Cimbra, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). This is not a race with rankings or stopwatches: it is a non-competitive color run where the goal is simply to have fun, enjoy the outdoors, and get covered in non-toxic colored powder at every stage of the course.

The color run format has become a classic for local festivals and charity events: everyone starts together, running or walking along a simple path suitable for all ages, while volunteers and stations along the way launch clouds of color that turn participants into a moving rainbow. In Lavarone, the setting is the lush green of Parco Palù, five hectares of meadows at the foot of the plateau's woods, one of the most popular spots for families vacationing on the Alpe Cimbra.

Pro Loco and AVIS: sport, celebration, and solidarity

The event is organized by the Pro Loco Lavarone APS in collaboration with the AVIS Comunale di Lavarone O.d.V., the local blood donor association. This partnership gives the event a strong sense of community and solidarity: the color run becomes an opportunity to come together, promote the value of sport for all, and support the work of local volunteers. It is a festival designed to embrace the entire community, from the youngest to the oldest, and to welcome tourists choosing Lavarone as their summer holiday destination.

Parco Palù, the green heart of Lavarone

Parco Palù, created from the reclamation of an ancient peat bog in the Cappella area, is now a large park equipped with meadows, playgrounds for children, a small pond, and sports facilities. During the summer, it hosts numerous Alpe Cimbra events, from gastronomic festivals to sporting activities, and is the natural home for a color run designed as a moment of outdoor social gathering. The start is scheduled for the early afternoon, leaving plenty of time for music and the final party once the colors have run out.
