Great international music within the Baroque halls of the Reggia di Venaria
The Late Spring Music Festival is an international musical event that brings the Reggia di Venaria, in the town of Venaria Reale near Turin, to life for four days. Created by the Consorzio delle Residenze Reali Sabaude, the festival stems from a simple yet fascinating concept: using the monumental spaces of this Baroque residence—the Sala di Diana, the Chapel of Sant'Uberto, the Galleria Grande, and the Gardens—as a backdrop for great music, in a continuous dialogue between architecture, nature, and sound.
The festival's name reflects its spirit: late spring, as the season gives way to summer, is the perfect time to experience the Reggia in a new light. From morning concerts and open rehearsals to evening and late-night events in the Gardens, the program accompanies visitors throughout the day, turning every corner of the residence into a stage.
Over the years, the festival has hosted world-class musicians, from string quartets to renowned pianists, and some of the most acclaimed violists and cellists on the international scene. The artistic direction is entrusted to an artist-in-residence who shapes the program and embodies its vision: a concept of shared music where the boundary between stage and audience blurs, and the public is invited to participate actively.
A significant part of the festival is dedicated to children and families, featuring workshops, music appreciation activities, and moments designed to engage all ages. It is a way to experience culture in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, within one of the most spectacular residences in Piedmont and Italy.
Part of the rich cultural calendar of the Reggia di Venaria, the Late Spring Music Festival has become a highly anticipated event in the late spring of Turin. Its format—with concerts included in the Reggia's admission ticket—makes it accessible, inviting visitors to combine the discovery of Savoyard heritage with the enjoyment of great music.
The Reggia di Venaria is located at Piazza della Repubblica 4, in Venaria Reale (TO), just a few kilometers from Turin. By car, it can be reached via the ring road (Venaria/Savonera exit); parking is available nearby. By train and bus, you can reach it from Turin Porta Nuova or Porta Susa stations using GTT connections (line 11 and dedicated shuttles on opening days).
All festival concerts and events are included in the Reggia admission ticket (full price approximately 18 euros, with reduced and free entry options available). Events in the Gardens are also accessible with a Gardens-only ticket. Seat reservations are recommended.
