About Lamadacqua Food

Lamadacqua Food is the food, wine, and music festival that lights up the Lamadacqua district every summer, nestled between Noci and the border of Mottola in the heart of the Murgia dei Trulli. Promoted by Confartigianato Noci in partnership with AIS Puglia sommeliers and supported by the Municipality of Noci, the event blends Apulian street food, guided wine and extra virgin olive oil tastings, live concerts, and sustainability-focused activities. Two evenings of flavors, music, and conviviality immersed in the rural landscape of the Noci countryside, in the province of Bari.

Lamadacqua Food: taste and music in the Noci countryside

Lamadacqua Food is the food, wine, and music festival that brings hundreds of visitors every summer to the Lamadacqua district, a corner of the countryside about fifteen kilometers from the center of Noci, on the border with the territory of Mottola. Here, in the heart of the Murgia dei Trulli in the province of Bari, the event highlights local districts and agri-food excellence, while showcasing the landscape and architectural heritage of the Noci countryside.

A festival born to celebrate local districts

The event is promoted by Confartigianato Noci as the lead organizer, together with the sommeliers of AIS Puglia and with the patronage of the Municipality of Noci. The festival's philosophy, summarized by the motto "districts at the center," aims to rediscover rural villages and Apulian food and wine traditions, transforming Lamadacqua into a meeting place for families, adults, and seniors alike.

The flavors of the Murgia dei Trulli

The culinary journey offers the best of Apulian street food: sausage sandwiches, Valle d'Itria bombette, capocollo, dairy products, and fresh cheeses from the Murgia, alongside pasta dishes prepared by the festival's restaurant partners. It is a journey through typical flavors that tells the story of the rural identity of this corner of Puglia.

Guided tastings by AIS Puglia

Ample space is dedicated to the culture of fine food and wine, with AIS Puglia sommeliers guiding the public through experiential workshops: lessons on tasting Apulian extra virgin olive oils and masterclasses on wines from the Trulli region, helping participants learn to recognize and pair local products.

Live music and Apulian artists

Each evening concludes with live music and free admission to concerts. Over the years, the lineup has featured Apulian singer-songwriters and folk music groups, with concerts that bring the district to life under the stars, turning the countryside into a natural stage.

Sustainability and community

In its most recent editions, the festival has taken on a strong green focus, featuring artistic installations dedicated to recycling, creative workshops for children, compostable materials, and a trekking excursion along the ancient transhumance paths. It is a way to combine taste, nature, and sustainability, placing the values of environmental respect at the heart of the event.

Where it takes place

Lamadacqua Food is held in the Lamadacqua district, within the territory of the Municipality of Noci, in Puglia. The district is located a few kilometers from the town and is accessible by car; in past editions, free shuttle services from the town center to the festival area have been provided.

Lamadacqua Food — edition 2026

At the moment, the dates for the 2026 edition of Lamadacqua Food have not yet been announced by the organizers. Following the 2025 edition, Confartigianato Noci stated that the festival "will return" and is becoming a regular fixture of the Noci summer, traditionally held between late August and early September. The program and musical lineup will be announced in the weeks leading up to the event.

The 2026 edition of Lamadacqua Food in the Lamadacqua district, Noci (BA), does not yet have official confirmed dates. However, the organizers from Confartigianato Noci and AIS Puglia have announced their intention to host the festival again, which has taken place in late August in recent years. As soon as the calendar and program featuring food stands, tastings, and concerts are released, this page will be updated with all relevant information.
