The Noci autumn festival in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Medici Saints
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Autumn Festival is one of the most cherished events in the calendar of Noci, a town in the Murgia dei Trulli area within the Metropolitan City of Bari, in Apulia. Dedicated to the veneration of Mary Most Holy of the Rosary and the Medici Saints, Cosmas and Damian, the event traditionally falls on the second Sunday of October, transforming the town center into a vibrant hub of faith, music, and conviviality for four days.
The religious heart of the festival is held by the Parish of San Domenico, which leads the preparatory triduum, holy masses, and the solemn celebration presided over by the Bishop. The most anticipated moment is the procession along the town's outer walls, accompanied by flag-wavers and a picturesque cavalcade, culminating in the release of a hot-air balloon in honor of the Madonna and the Medici Saints at the Calvary.
Alongside its devotional dimension, the Autumn Festival offers a rich program of entertainment. National artists, orchestras, Salento folk groups, and the town band take turns on the stage set up in the square, while the streets of the village are illuminated by typical Apulian luminarie (decorative lights). Grand fireworks displays also light up the sky over Noci to close the evenings.
The festival is also an opportunity to rediscover seasonal local products: along the food and wine trail set up in the square, visitors can enjoy the essential roasted chestnuts, Murgia autumn dishes, and wines selected by sommeliers, in a festive atmosphere that engages both adults and children. Craft markets, art exhibitions, activities for children, and sporting events complete the program.
The Autumn Festival is confirmed in the Noci event calendar for 2026, featuring among the cultural and traditional highlights of October. The official dates and the detailed program for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced: we recommend following the social media channels and the official website of the event for updates.
The 2026 edition of the Autumn Festival in Noci is part of the city's event calendar, confirming the continuity of a tradition rooted in the community for decades. At the moment, the organizers, the Parish of San Domenico and Spazio Comune, have not yet made public the precise dates or the program of concerts and celebrations. As is customary, a weekend in October is expected to be dedicated to Mary Most Holy of the Rosary and the Medici Saints, Cosmas and Damian, with a procession, flag-wavers, a hot-air balloon, musical performances, and fireworks. Updates will be published on the official channels of the event.
Noci is located in the Bari Murgia area, about 45 km from Bari. By car, it can be reached via the SS100 Bari-Taranto road, taking the Noci exit; by train, it is served by the Ferrovie del Sud Est line connecting Bari to Taranto. The nearest airport is Bari-Palese.
The celebrations and shows are concentrated in Piazza Garibaldi and the San Domenico district, with the procession moving along the outer walls of the historic center.
Admission to the events is free. We recommend arriving early on the evenings of the concerts and the procession. Information and updates are available on the official social media profiles (Facebook and Instagram) and on the website festadautunno.com.
