The most romantic night in the Italian villages
La Notte Romantica nei Borghi più Belli d'Italia (The Romantic Night in the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy) is the national initiative with which the Club I Borghi più Belli d'Italia celebrates the arrival of the summer season every year around the summer solstice. On the same evening, in over 200 villages across the country, evocative atmospheres are created with music, tastings, and experiential paths designed for couples, families, and visitors.

In Bettona, in the province of Perugia, the Romantic Night is experienced in the streets and squares of the Etruscan village: food stalls, a romantic dinner, the evening opening and guided tour of the City Museum, craft markets, and a DJ set animate the historic centre until late at night.

Bettona, one of the pearls of central Umbria, preserves Etruscan walls, medieval alleys, and splendid views of the middle Tiber valley. La Notte Romantica is the perfect opportunity to discover it in an intimate and festive atmosphere, on one of the most magical evenings of the year.
La Notte Romantica — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of La Notte Romantica is scheduled nationally for Saturday, June 20th, coinciding with the summer solstice, and involves over 200 Italian villages. In Bettona, the village comes alive with food stalls, a romantic dinner, the evening opening of the City Museum with guided tours, craft markets, and a DJ set in the streets.

How to get there
Bettona can be reached by car from the E45 (Torgiano-Bettona exit) or from the SS75 Centrale Umbra. The nearest station is Assisi-Santa Maria degli Angeli, with onward travel by bus or taxi. Parking is available on the outskirts of the historic centre.

Access to the village and the various events is free; some food and wine offerings (romantic dinner, tastings) may incur a charge.
