Cipresso celebrates spring

The Festa della Primavera is the village sagra (festival) of the hamlet of Cipresso, in the Municipality of Bastia Umbra (province of Perugia). It is held at the beginning of June, along Via Madrid and in the centre of the hamlet, to celebrate the arrival of the warm season with food, music, and dancing.

Umbrian cuisine and banquets

The heart of the festival are the food stalls with typical dishes of Umbrian tradition, served by volunteers from the organizing committee. The banquets under the stars welcome families, friends, and visitors from all over the Bastia Umbra and Assisi area every evening.

Dancing and youth area

The fun is divided between dancing evenings enlivened by live orchestras – ballroom dancing and group dances – and a youth area with DJs and music groups, designed for the younger audience. A formula that allows different generations to coexist, from 7:30 PM until late at night.

A community festival

Now in its "2.0" edition, the Festa della Primavera di Cipresso is an event cherished by the hamlet's community, an example of the vibrant tradition of village festivals that characterises the area of Bastia Umbra and the entire Region of Umbria.
