The popular April 25th feast in Guardistallo, where everyone brings their own food to grill and dines together
La Griglia Condivisa is a convivial gathering held every April 25th in Guardistallo, a hilltop village in the Val di Cecina, in the Province of Pisa, in the heart of the Tuscan Etruscan Coast. The initiative, promoted by the Pro Loco of Guardistallo with the support of the Municipality, transforms the local Area Feste into a large open-air dining space where the golden rule is simple: share.
The heart of the day is a large communal grill available to everyone. The formula is simple and original: each participant brings what they wish to cook and then shares the lunch with others. Starting at 12:30 PM, everyone sits down together at the table, with tablecloths spread out and homemade dishes, recreating the atmosphere of festivals of the past, when food was primarily a pretext to get together.
La Griglia Condivisa is much more than just a lunch. It is an opportunity to strengthen the sense of community, rediscover simplicity, and value genuine togetherness. It is not a structured gastronomic festival with stalls and fixed menus, but a true popular feast, open to anyone who loves conviviality, good food, and local traditions. The chosen date, April 25th, links the event to the national holiday and the beginning of the beautiful season, when the village warmly welcomes guests.
Guardistallo is a small, welcoming village in Tuscany, overlooking the hills between the sea of the Etruscan Coast and the inland Val di Cecina. A village with a strong rural identity, it is known for its tranquility, views of vineyards and olive groves, and a lively social life animated by the Pro Loco, which offers numerous events throughout the year, from summer festivals to social gatherings like this spring barbecue. Participating in La Griglia Condivisa means experiencing the village from the inside, alongside its inhabitants, on a day of sun, food, and joy.
The 2026 edition of La Griglia Condivisa was held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 12:30 PM, at the Area Feste in Guardistallo (PI).
