A Christmas village in the province of Siena

At the end of November, the Municipality of Radicondoli—a small medieval village perched between the hills of the Val di Cecina and the Colline Metallifere in the province of Siena (Tuscany)—comes alive for the Radicondoli Christmas Market. For an entire weekend, the streets and squares of the historic center, starting from Piazza Matteotti, fill with stalls, scents, and lights, creating one of the most curated and refined Christmas markets in Tuscany.

Tuscan craftsmanship and sustainable creativity

The heart of the event is its selection of artisans and creatives, mostly hailing from across Tuscany. Among the stalls, you will find unique handmade pieces that reflect talent, local heritage, and tradition:

• slow fashion and sustainable clothing, naturally dyed and eco-printed with plants, flowers, and roots;
• handcrafted jewelry, ceramics, and macramé home decor;
• sustainable floral arrangements, artisanal textiles, and pure essential oils.

Star-studded street food and DOP/IGP products

The Radicondoli Christmas Market owes much of its fame to its gourmet street food: numerous chefs, many of whom are Michelin-starred or highly acclaimed by major guides, offer recipes based on Tuscan DOP and IGP protected products. Among the specialties that have made the event famous are the Cinta Senese DOP cacciucco, pizza with Cinta pork jowl, squid lampredotto, savory panettone with Finocchiona IGP, and Tuscan legume soups, all paired with wines from local cellars.

Music, performances, and workshops

The program is rounded out by live cooking demonstrations, creative workshops for children, mulled wine, and traditional dishes, alongside a packed calendar of music and roving performances that animate the village: contemporary gospel choirs, local bands and philharmonics, street performers, and family entertainment. The atmosphere is that of an entire community coming together to welcome visitors, making Radicondoli the ideal place to embrace the Christmas spirit.

A welcoming, village-scale event

Admission to the market is free; a token system is used to purchase food and drinks at the street food stalls. To facilitate access to the small historic center, a free shuttle service runs from the external parking areas. Organized by the Pro Loco Radicondoli with the patronage of the Municipality of Radicondoli and the Tuscany Region, the Christmas Market has become one of the most successful showcases of the identity and hospitality of this corner of Tuscany.
