La Gabbia 12h of Locana is a summer sports event held in Piazza Gran Paradiso, in the center of Locana, a municipality within the Metropolitan City of Turin located in the heart of the Orco Valley, at the foot of the Gran Paradiso massif. For an entire weekend, the square transforms into a large open-air playing field, where youth and adults compete in team tournaments in an atmosphere of celebration and healthy competition.

Saturday is dedicated to younger participants with La Gabbia Giovani, a series of age-grouped tournaments with randomly assigned teams, designed to entertain children and teenagers while introducing them to team sports. Sunday is the highlight, featuring the famous 12-hour formula that gives the event its name: a long team tournament that keeps participants engaged from morning until evening.

Beach volleyball and team challenges

Alongside the main tournament, Sunday also hosts the Gabbia Beach Volleyball, a 4-on-4 mixed format tournament open to participants aged 14 and up.
