About Komorebi Festival

Komorebi Music Festival is a three-day electronic sound journey held within the monumental walls of the Forte Albertino in Vinadio, located in the upper Stura Valley in the heart of the Cuneo Alps. Techno, ambient, downtempo, and tech house blend with the raw power of the alpine landscape in an intimate, independent atmosphere. The 2026 edition, scheduled from September 4th to 6th, features an international line-up across daytime and nighttime stages in a natural and historical setting unique to Piedmont.

An electronic odyssey in the Alps

The Komorebi Music Festival is one of the most evocative electronic music events in Piedmont. It takes place in Vinadio, a town in the Province of Cuneo nestled in the upper Stura Valley, inside the imposing walls of the Forte Albertino—a 19th-century fortress overlooking the valley on the road to the Colle della Maddalena. Here, the raw power of the alpine wilderness meets the most cutting-edge sounds of the electronic scene, creating an immersive experience of music, landscape, and community.

Three days of sound and scenery

The festival's artistic vision revolves around electronic music in its most refined forms: techno, ambient, downtempo, and electronica. The layout alternates between open-air stages overlooking the lake and the fort's small woods, and indoor spaces dedicated to multisensory installations and prolonged ambient listening sessions. The setting of the Forte di Vinadio is not just a logistical location but a statement of identity: the fortress becomes an integral part of the experience with its courtyards, stone walls, and mountain vistas.

An independent spirit

Komorebi is an independent festival that serves as a cultural hub, promoting free, authentic spaces that are deeply connected to the territory. Over the years, the event has grown to attract an international audience and prominent artists from the European electronic scene, while maintaining the intimate, family-like atmosphere that defines it. The experience is completed by the option to camp on-site, allowing attendees to live the event in total immersion with the nature of the Stura Valley.

Why it's worth it

  • A unique historical location: the Forte Albertino di Vinadio, one of the largest alpine fortresses in Italy.
  • A curated program of high-quality electronic music, far from mainstream commercial circuits.
  • A breathtaking alpine natural setting, surrounded by woods, mountains, and a lake.
  • An intimate and independent atmosphere, with on-site camping available.

For those who love electronic music experienced in an extraordinary context, the Komorebi Music Festival is a must-add to your calendar for early September in Piedmont.
