The brewery's birthday celebration at the sanctuary, 1,520 meters high in the Dolomites
The Klosterbräufest is the anniversary celebration of the Klosterbräu craft brewery, established in 2024 inside an old barn next to the Maria Weißenstein Sanctuary, better known in Italian as Pietralba. We are at an altitude of 1,520 meters, in the village of Weißenstein, part of the municipality of Nova Ponente/Deutschnofen, in the Province of Bolzano, the green heart of the Eggental valley with a spectacular view of the South Tyrolean Dolomites.
On July 18th and 19th, 2026, the brewery opens its doors for two days of celebration: house beers are on tap, local gastronomic specialties are served, and guests gather in the beer garden with a view of the peaks, in the convivial yet serene atmosphere typical of South Tyrolean mountain locations.
Klosterbräu produces honest, straightforward beers using mountain water, hops, and plenty of artisanal patience, without filtration or pasteurization. The two labels featured at the festival are:
The beers pair perfectly with South Tyrolean specialties, from speck to alpine cheeses, for a combination that tells the story of the region in every sip.
The uniqueness of the Klosterbräufest lies in its setting: few places in Italy combine one of the most beloved pilgrimage sanctuaries in the Alps, the air of the Dolomites, and a craft brewery housed in a centuries-old barn. For visitors, it is an opportunity to discover Pietralba not only as a spiritual destination but also as a new address for South Tyrolean brewing culture in one of the most picturesque valleys in the region.
The Klosterbräufest is an event suitable for craft beer enthusiasts, families, and hikers exploring the Eggental and the trails around Nova Ponente. Its altitude and panoramic position make it an ideal excursion in the heart of the South Tyrolean summer.
The 2026 edition of the Klosterbräufest takes place on Saturday, July 18th and Sunday, July 19th at the Klosterbräu brewery, next to the Maria Weißenstein/Pietralba Sanctuary, in the municipality of Nova Ponente/Deutschnofen (BZ). The brewery, established in 2024, invites you to celebrate its anniversary with house beers — the blonde Hell and the amber Sinner — and local gastronomic specialties, in a unique mountain setting at an altitude of 1,520 meters.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition (schedules, music, menus, and specialties) has not yet been published by the organizers. Official sources from the Municipality of Nova Ponente/Deutschnofen confirm the two days of festivities (July 18-19) with house beers and traditional South Tyrolean specialties; details will be announced in the weeks leading up to the event.
