The classical guitar festival in Boves
The Kaleidoscope Guitar Festival is an annual event that brings some of the finest classical guitar performers to Boves, in the heart of the Cuneo province. The festival is organized by the Istituto Civico Musicale di Boves in collaboration with La Fabbrica dei Suoni, with the support of the Municipality of Boves and Banca di Boves. Conceived by guitarist Maurizio Baudino, the festival has established itself as one of the most anticipated events for guitar lovers in Piedmont.
Masterclasses, lutherie, and concerts
The Kaleidoscope program is structured across several complementary areas. At the heart of the festival are the masterclasses, where internationally acclaimed soloists work with student soloists and chamber groups, offering young guitarists and conservatory students a valuable growth opportunity. Alongside the educational aspect, there is a lutherie exhibition showcasing the craftsmanship of master luthiers, as well as public trials of the instruments on display, allowing the audience to get closer to the secrets of guitar making.
Festival venues
The study and exhibition days are held at L'Atlante dei Suoni, at Via Moschetti 15, the headquarters of La Fabbrica dei Suoni, while the evening concerts take place at the Auditorium Borelli in Boves. All events open to the public—including the lutherie exhibition, musical marathon, and concerts—are free of charge: a choice that reflects the festival's commitment to outreach and its desire to make classical music accessible to the entire community.

2026 Edition with Arody García
The 2026 Kaleidoscope Guitar Festival featured guest of honor, Mexican guitarist Arody García, one of the most acclaimed voices in international classical guitar. The festival took place in Boves on Monday, June 1st and Tuesday, June 2nd, maintaining its successful formula of combining high-level education, lutherie, and concerts.
On Monday, June 1st, at L'Atlante dei Suoni, García held a masterclass for soloists and chamber groups, while the lutherie exhibition was open throughout the day. In the afternoon, the Ponce-Brouwer Marathon showcased students from conservatories and music high schools. The day concluded with a public trial of the exhibited guitars. On Tuesday, June 2nd, at 8:45 PM, the Auditorium Borelli hosted Arody García's concert, which was free to the public.

Boves is located just a few kilometers from Cuneo. By car: take the A33 Asti-Cuneo motorway, exit at Cuneo, then follow signs for Boves. By train: arrive at Cuneo station and use local bus connections.
