Jazz & Pop Coast Festival

A festival of jazz, pop, and nature on the Gulf of Castellammare

The Jazz & Pop Coast Festival is a vibrant summer music event in Balestrate, a coastal town in the Province of Palermo overlooking the Gulf of Castellammare, Sicily. Its uniqueness lies in its venue: the Scalinata della Pineta, a natural space that slopes down from the green woods to the blue sea, transformed for a few summer evenings into an open-air amphitheatre where music engages with the landscape.

Two universal languages, one journey

The idea behind the event is simple yet ambitious: to unite jazz and pop—two musical languages that speak to all generations—in an artistic journey immersed in nature. The evenings alternate between great vocalists, jazz ensembles, and projects that blend Sicilian roots with international influences, ranging from a dialogue between Sicily and Brazil to the interplay of harmonica and piano.

Organizers

The festival is conceived and promoted by the Filippo Evola Cultural Association in collaboration with the Municipality of Balestrate, with support for select evenings from the Sicilia Jazz Festival. The stated goal is to enhance the landscape and cultural heritage of the area, making the Pineta a landmark for quality music during the Balestrate summer.
