Jazz in Piazza, the musical summer of Cerignola

Jazz in Piazza is the festival that brings Cerignola, a bustling city in the Province of Foggia, to life every late August in the heart of the Apulian Capitanata. Established in 2023 by the cultural association APS Sud Music, the event has quickly gained a loyal following, hosting four concerts over two evenings in the city center.

Between contemporary jazz, soul, and tradition

The festival's hallmark is variety: alongside original jazz, the program features soul, neo-soul, and sounds that reinterpret Apulian folk traditions with a contemporary twist. The stage hosts both local ensembles and nationally renowned artists, with the clear goal of making Cerignola a reference point for quality live music throughout the Capitanata region.

Palazzo Fornari, the festival's setting

The evenings take place at Palazzo Fornari, one of the most iconic landmarks in Cerignola's city center, which offers an intimate and evocative setting for the concerts. In previous editions, the festival has also been hosted in other city venues, such as the Teatro Mercadante, confirming the strong bond between the event and the urban fabric of the Municipality of Cerignola.

A project by APS Sud Music

The organization is managed by APS Sud Music, a local Cerignola-based association active in music promotion, with the patronage of the Municipality of Cerignola. The festival is part of the city's summer event calendar, often collaborating with other local musical initiatives, and offers free admission concerts designed to engage both residents and visitors passing through Puglia.

A late-August staple

Held annually around the last weekend of August, Jazz in Piazza has become one of the most anticipated events of the Cerignola summer. Dates and the program for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced; however, the event is expected to return during its usual summer slot, when the center of Cerignola fills with music once again.
