Art and music festival nestled in the greenery at the Subbiano municipal stadium
Janus Fest is the summer festival that brings the Subbiano municipal stadium to life, located in a town in the province of Arezzo overlooking the Casentino valley, in Tuscany. Conceived and organized by the youth association I Love Subbiano, the festival demonstrates how a group of young people in their twenties and thirties can build, year after year, an event capable of attracting audiences from across the valley and beyond.
What sets Janus Fest apart is its focus on every creative language, not just music. Alongside the concerts, the evenings feature live painting and live drawing experiences: artists paint and draw in real-time while bands perform, creating a continuous dialogue between sound and image. The experience is completed by visual DJ sets that accompany aperitifs and the breaks between live performances.
The musical programming focuses decisively on the Italian independent and emerging scene, with bands and projects ranging from indie to alternative pop, and rock to singer-songwriter styles. Over the years, the Subbiano stage has hosted acts from various Italian cities, offering visibility to groups that rarely perform in such intimate and carefully curated settings.
Janus Fest is more than just a concert lineup; it is a meeting place. The municipal stadium area is equipped with two bar points, a food court, and merchandise and local craft stalls, where you can discover regional products. The free entry (donations welcome) policy reflects the festival's spirit: accessible, participatory, and built thanks to the work of dozens of volunteers.
Now in its latest edition, Janus Fest has established itself as one of the most anticipated summer events in the Subbiano and Arezzo area, successfully combining a passion for live music with the promotion of visual arts and the local community.
The Janus Fest 2026 is scheduled for Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25 at the municipal stadium of Subbiano (AR). Once again this year, the festival offers two evenings of art and music nestled in the greenery, with live concerts, live painting and live drawing experiences, and visual DJ sets to accompany the aperitifs.
The following artists have been announced for the 2026 edition:
As per tradition, the concerts are accompanied by live painting and live drawing sessions and visual DJ sets. The detailed schedule for the two evenings, including the times of individual performances, will be announced by the organization in the weeks leading up to the event.
