IOD Fest: Singer-songwriter music in Mesagne

IOD Fest is the summer music festival conceived and organized by Aurora Eventi, led by Livio Iaia, with the aim of bringing great Italian singer-songwriter music to the most evocative locations in Puglia. The heart of the event is Mesagne, in the province of Brindisi, where concerts enliven August evenings, transforming the historic center into an open-air stage. Born as part of the Mesagne summer program, IOD Fest has carved out a distinct identity: a select number of high-artistic-value events dedicated to singer-songwriters and the most recognizable voices on the national scene.

Piazza Orsini del Balzo: The natural stage

The shows are held in Piazza Orsini del Balzo, the most scenic space in Mesagne, framed by the castle and the buildings of the old town. The square offers an intimate and enveloping atmosphere that enhances both the great classics of progressive rock and the more subdued sounds of urban songwriting. It is here that the Salento public gathers every summer, under the night sky, to experience music in one of the most beautiful villages in the province of Brindisi.

The 2026 Edition

The 2026 edition of IOD Fest brings Carl Brave to Mesagne, one of the most beloved voices of Italian urban pop. The Roman singer-songwriter performs on Thursday, August 13, 2026, in Piazza Orsini del Balzo with his Acoustic Live 2026, a tour that reinterprets his most famous tracks through essential arrangements and more intimate sounds, accompanied by an ensemble designed to highlight the acoustic dimension of the songs. Admission is ticketed, and tickets are available through the TicketOne network.

Artists from past editions

In previous seasons, IOD Fest has brought top-tier names to Mesagne. The 2025 edition featured performances on the Piazza Orsini del Balzo stage by:

• PFM – Premiata Forneria Marconi, on August 21, 2025, with the "Doppia Traccia Tour," featuring classics of Italian progressive rock and a tribute to Fabrizio De André;
• Franco126, on August 22, 2025, with his urban songwriting style characterized by nocturnal atmospheres and enveloping melodies.

A program that confirms the vocation of IOD Fest: to unite different generations and genres, from historical progressive rock to contemporary pop songwriting.
