The International Beard and Moustache Festival is one of the most curious and recognizable summer events in the Municipality of Corropoli, located in the province of Teramo, in the Abruzzo region. Every July, the central Piazza Piedicorte transforms into a stage for a fun-filled competition that is taken very seriously by enthusiasts, celebrating the art of male facial hair with parades, contests, and shows open to everyone.
The heart of the event is the beard and moustache contest, divided into six categories that reward different styles and sensibilities. A jury evaluates the contestants as they parade before the public in a mix of elegance, irony, and extravagance. The competition categories are:

The Municipality of Corropoli, in the province of Teramo, hosts the International Beard and Moustache Festival every summer, traditionally in the month of July in Piazza Piedicorte. Corropoli can be reached by car via the A14 motorway (Val Vibrata exit) and the SS16 road along the Adriatic coast. The nearest train station is Alba Adriatica-Nereto-Controguerra, on the Adriatic line, just a few kilometers from the center. The reference airport is Pescara (Abruzzo Airport), about an hour's drive away.
The competitions and shows are held in Piazza Piedicorte, in the center of Corropoli. Admission to the events is free.
